Miles of pipe in service: Miles of distribution system gas pipe that was in service at YE2023, owned, operated or maintained by your company

Number of gas customers: The number of customers is the average number of Customers per Month for the year as of YE2023. Customer is an entity that enters into an account with your utility in order to receive natural gas for heating, power, feedstock and other purposes. For our discussions, each customer account represents an individual gas meter, so we use the terms “customer”, “account”, and “meter” interchangeably.

Employees conducting Gas Leak Surveys: Qualified persons conducting survey inspections (or post-leak survey, re-surveying) used to locate gas leaks in the company’s distribution pipeline systems, service lines and facilities. Survey activities consist of testing, detection, inspection, risk assessment, classification and reporting. This includes those operating leak detection instruments/devices/vehicles. These do not include employees conducting any related maintenance, repair or construction activities.
